Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

The TechX (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates thetechx.in. We build software and automation systems for clients, produce content, run a live cohort programme, and maintain a free community. This policy explains what personal data this website handles, why, and what you can ask us to do about it.

We are based in Hyderabad, India. For anything in this policy, including any grievance, write to thetechx.in@gmail.com.

2. Information we collect

We only receive information you choose to send us. There are two forms on this site, and both deliver straight to our email inbox.

• Project enquiry form (on the Services page). Collects your name, phone number, business name and message. All four are required in order to submit.
• Cohort waitlist form (on the Cohort page). Collects your name, email address, background (chosen from a list) and your reason for applying.
• Email correspondence. If you write to us directly, we receive whatever you put in that email.
• Public channel activity. If you join our WhatsApp channel or group, or follow us on LinkedIn, YouTube or Instagram, those platforms process your data under their own policies. We see only what any account holder on those platforms would see.
• Server logs. Our hosting provider may record standard request data such as IP address, browser user agent and timestamp, for security and uptime. We do not use those logs to build profiles of individuals.

This site has no user accounts, and we never ask for payment card details on it.

3. How we use your information

• To reply to your enquiry and, if you go ahead, to scope and deliver the work you asked for.
• To assess and respond to cohort waitlist applications.
• To keep the site running and protected from abuse.

We do not run marketing email lists, retargeting pixels or advertising from this site. We will not add you to a mailing list because you sent us an enquiry.

4. Cookies and tracking

This site sets no cookies of its own, uses no analytics or advertising trackers, and stores nothing in your browser. Third-party services listed below may set their own cookies when your browser requests files from them.

5. Third-party services

Delivering this site means your browser contacts a small number of third parties, which will see technical request data such as your IP address:

• FormSubmit (formsubmit.co) processes both forms and forwards the contents to our inbox. Anything you type into a form passes through them.
• Static hosting and CDN for the site itself.
• Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com, fonts.gstatic.com) for typefaces.
• Cloudflare CDN (cdnjs.cloudflare.com) for the icon library.
• Cloudinary for hosting our logo and some images.
• Unsplash for some placeholder photography still on the site.

Each has its own privacy practices, which we do not control.

6. How long we keep it

Enquiry and waitlist messages stay in our email inbox while the conversation is active and for up to 24 months afterwards, so that we can pick up where we left off if you come back. Records connected to paid work are kept for as long as we need them for accounting and legal purposes. You can ask us to delete anything sooner.

7. Data sharing

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We share it only with the service providers listed above, strictly so the site and our correspondence can function, or where we are legally required to disclose it.

8. Data security

We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect what you send us. No system on the internet is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affects your data, we will act promptly and notify you and the relevant authority where the law requires it.

9. Your rights

Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and other applicable law, you may ask us to:

• confirm what personal data of yours we hold, and give you a copy;
• correct anything inaccurate or incomplete;
• erase your data where we no longer need it;
• withdraw consent you previously gave, at any time.

Write to thetechx.in@gmail.com and we will respond within a reasonable period. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may raise the matter with the Data Protection Board of India.

10. Children

This site is not directed at children. In India, anyone under 18 is treated as a child for data protection purposes, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data without verifiable consent from a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has sent us information, write to us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site changes. The “last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision, and material changes will be flagged here.
